How to Become Less Shy - Never Be Alone Again On A Party
While I was starting to find out how to become less shy there was one situation that especially troubled me: Being invited to a party where I don't know anybody. But guess what: there is a way to never have to suffer this again and I am gone or show it to you right here.
I'm sure you've experienced it, too: that awful situation when you stand in the corner clinging to your drink and smiling helplessly, hoping that no one will notice that you're feeling completely out of place.
But you never have to suffer that situation again once you're using the method I'm about to show you here. Again I took it from www.LoseYourShyness.info and it helped me tremendously when I was looking for methods how to stop being shy and quiet.
The easy way to get to know every guest on a party
The answer to the problem is just one simple sentence: Don't be the guest, be the host! That may sound peculiar at first, but you do not have to organize every party yourself. But on every party there are two kinds of people that behave in two very different ways: some are acting as "hosts" and others are acting as "guests". Now what exactly does that mean? Let me show you how we can use this as a method to learn how to become less shy.
Let's take a quick look at the different roles of the "host" and of the "guest".
The hosts are normally the charming ones. They take people's coats when they come in, introduce guests to one another, suggest interesting topics and basically make everyone feel good. Sounds familiar? Now let's look at the typical behavior of the "guest". "Guests" are waiting for someone to take their coat, to offer a drink to them, and - the most important thing for someone figuring out how to become less shy - they're waiting for someone to introduce them to someone else. More often than not the "guest" is just sneaking into a corner waiting for salvation. And while they are waiting there have behavior is perceived as "untouchable".
Knowing this, it's very easy to change it. Just take over the role of a "host" on the next party you are invited to.
The way to automatically get to know everyone who is there
So what exactly is a host doing? Well, you don't have to be a competitor to the real host of the party, just try to make people feel good. Almost everyone of us has been a host before, even if you just had some friends come over for a beer or a pizza. And it's not that, you may be watched other people doing it -- They owner of a restaurant, your parents and friends -- you name it. And here, right in front of our eyes, is the answer to the question how to become less shy:
when the guests arrive, smile, why come them, and tell them to get in. Exchange a few friendly words with them, take their coats, introduced him to other guests and mentioning some commonalities which could be the starter for an interesting talk. Maybe a Taliban story or an interesting information about the new guest. At the end of the evening at them to find their coats and thank everyone for coming.
If shyness comes in your way it is always helpful to think more about the well-being of the others than your own. It's more less exactly what you want to do anyway when you're wondering how to become less shy: get to know other people and make contact. Just remember to have a real interest in your guests -- cause if you don't most conversations will end rather quickly.
The longer you do it the more you'll get used to it. Sooner or later you will start to feel good with what you're doing and when this happens people will start to be interested in you and you will become what people call "magnetic personality".
